A buzzy, vibrant and informal Spanish café by José Pizarro. Slightly more casual than the restaurant at the Senate room on the 1st floor, Poster Bar by José – open from 10am until 6pm – with sharing small plates and an informal Spanish café vibe.

Just like our beloved restaurant José Tapas in Bermondsey corner we operate a no booking policy, stop by for a delightful lunch full of authentic Spanish tapas when visiting the beautiful Royal Academy of Arts. Easy.

Pintxo Friday at the Royal Academy of Arts

José is launching Pintxo Fridays at our jolly bar The Poster Bar at The Royal Academy of Arts on Piccadilly, W1. Pinxtos are really popular all across Spain but they’re especially famous across the Basque region, in San Sebastian particularly. Similar to tapas, it refers to a meal in miniature, usually placed on a piece of bread typically skewered with a toothpick. Pay us a visit and enjoy a complimentary pintxo with every drink purchased from the bar, or order and try as many pintxos as you want. Available every Friday from 5.30 to 8.30 pm. No need to book, just show up!
